Capcom Fighting All-Stars: Code Holder

Official Info:

Capcom Fighting All-Stars: Code Holder was a 3D fighting game planned for the arcade and PlayStation 2 that was to be developed by Capcom. Like KOF: Maximum Impact, it was designed to translate a 2D fighting game series into 3D. This was done previously in the Street Fighter EX series, which Capcom co-produced with Arika. Capcom beta-tested the game, but after negative feedback from players and more months in development, the game was canceled in August 2003.

This game would have so great. I was one of the only people to absolutely love the EX series though. Game play may have been the factor in the canceling of this game because the characters and idea produced from the videos are all used in the games that followed. Parries, ultras, multi-angle, multi-stage, hit counts, air attacks, different characters, OG characters…the makings were THERE…!!! It included a strong character (an ALL-STAR) from each series to that date.  I mean Capcom even had a character named DEATH.

Character List:

Ryu (SF), Chun-Li (SF II), Alex (SF III),  Charlie (SF Alpha), Mike Haggar (Final Fight), Poison (Final Fight), Batsu (Rival Schools), Akira (Rival Schools), Strider Hiryu (Strider)

New characters

Ingrid – “Eternal Goddess” –  http://capcom.wikia.com/wiki/Ingrid

D.D. – “God of Thunder”  –

Rook – “Fallen Angel”

Death – you know who….

This game would have made my money, but MVC, wait lemme spell it out, Marvel vs Capcom, and MVC 2 made more money on one leg. The game can still be purchased for over 60$ which is incredible. Compared to Tekken 3 which is 10 – 20 bucks.

Tekken vs Capcom…it’s coming as the rebirth of Capcom Fighting All-Stars…BRING MONEY !!!…
